You can watch the ritual burning of the winter grasses on Mt. Wakakusa-yama.(33ha)

There are many good viewing spots throughout Nara Park and the city centre.

13:00 ~ 19:00  Kasuga-no O-Tondo  (Tobihino Park Area)

A fire festival called Tondo  at which “Shimenawa” traditional Japanese new year decorations are gathered and burned in order to release and appease the spirits that have been residing within them.
